B healthy, B happy
To B or not to B. Here I am, drowsy and woozy, staring at two perfect portraits of health: Philippine football stars James and Phil Younghusband who declare that they’re going for the gold Aronamin Gold, that is at a press conference at E Bar, Edsa Shangri-La.
Surely, brothers Phil and James get a kick out of Aronamin Gold, the first and only active-form B vitamins daily supplement for people on the go.
Full of life and full of dreams, the dashing duo confesses with a passion, “We take our supplements seriously because it is very important for us to maintain high energy levels. Luckily for us, Aronamin Gold suits our lifestyle.”
Now, you know where James and Phil get their energy, of which they seem to have an inexhaustible supply that on top of being topnotch football players, they have also founded The Younghusbands Football Academy and earned their European Union Football Association coaching licenses. The brothers are simply having a ball promoting football to the masses by touring the provinces to preach the gospel of football and the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle to children and public school teachers. Likewise, they conduct various football clinics within Metro Manila and host a TV segment titled “Football Younghusband Instructional (FYI).”
And yes, despite his super hectic schedule, Phil says with a cherubic smile that he still finds time for his lady love Angel Locsin, of course! “We’re really both busy.”
And now, let’s hear it from Vizcarra Pharmaceutical Inc. president Francisco “Butch” Sales whose life changed after he discovered Aronamin. “I am so dependent on Aronamin Gold to give me energy and vigor in the performance of my daily tasks. Before Aronamin, I had health issues and had difficulty sleeping.”
So full of awe, Butch shares, “Being the only multivitamin brand included in the top 100 pharmaceutical products in Korea, there must be something special in this product that makes it so popular among Koreans.”
Here’s something you might want to know about this good-as-gold supplement but didn’t have the energy to ask: One Aronamin capsule, which contains the chemical equivalent of thiamine found in garlic, is equivalent to 10 kg. of raw garlic. Further, the AG vitamins B1 (thiamine) and B2 (riboflavin) components are lipid-soluble and any excess is stored in the body for later use. As compared to the other multivitamin products, which contain water-soluble vitamin B1 and B2, the body excretes any excess.”
“In a day or two, the effects of Aronamin can already be felt. One can immediately feel the effects on physical and mental vigor and energy,” he points out.
Butch says that James and Phil were the perfect choice as Aronamin endorsers. “As outstanding athletes, they have displayed a high level of discipline and energy in order to attain their present stature in the sporting field. The Younghusband brothers best represent Aronamin Gold as its ambassadors because it is an outstanding multivitamin product that would give everyone the kind of energy and vigor needed in the best performance of one’s tasks.”
He’s happy to announce, “We have Biobita Probiotics with vitamins for children in our roster. We are also bringing in the other brand extensions of Aronamin Gold, namely Aronamin C Plus and Aronamin Eye.”
Of course, there’s nothing like hearing it straight from the mouth of the expert, Dr. Susan Simon: “In choosing the vitamins to take, one should consider the needs of the individual. Women who plan to conceive or are conceiving have different vitamin requirements from the elderly, from the vegetarians or from those who undergo intense training for sport. However, in the absence of specific predisposing conditions to vitamin deficiency, it is recommended to take a multivitamin preparation than individual vitamins since a large number of the population need more than one vitamin supplement and it will come out cheaper and easier to take than taking the vitamins separately. The multivitamin preparation should at least have vitamin B complex, vitamins C and E.”
Worth its weight in gold, “Aronamin Gold contains fursultiamine, also known as thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide (TTFD), which is a synthetic disulfide derivative of thiamine (vitamin B1). The disulfide bond makes fursultiamine lipophilic. Aronamin Gold also has riboflavin tetrabutyrate which is the fat-soluble ester of vitamin B2. These two components, being lipophilic, can easily diffuse or pass through the cell membranes of many cells in the body, allowing faster absorption, better bioavailability, and easier conversion into cofactors for enzymes of metabolic pathways than their water-soluble counterparts. The vitamin B6 and B12 components of Aronamin Gold are the forms which are more easily converted in the body to the coenzyme forms. Thus, these B vitamins give fast results in generating energy from fuel molecules (mainly carbohydrates), more vitamins are retained in the body and exert their effects for a longer time,” Dr. Simon elaborates.
B informed: The B vitamins play an important role in boosting energy, brain function and in strengthening the immune and nervous system.
Additionally, the multivitamin preparation contains vitamin C & E. Both vitamins are powerful antioxidants needed by the body to fight against free radicals, thus minimizing damage and keeping the cells healthy.
Who can take Aronamin or will most benefit from taking it?
Dr. Simon enumerates:
• The elderly and vegans since these conditions are associated with decreased absorption of vitamin B12.
• Those who consume excessive amounts of alcohol since alcohol impairs the digestion and utilization of nutrients.
• Those leading unhealthy lifestyles. Most of us don’t get the nutrition we need by not eating enough of the right foods at the right time, compounded by lack of physical activity, inadequate sleep, and stressful lifestyle.
• Those who lead active lifestyles since the supplement helps provide them with the energy level they need.
When should I take my vitamins?
Dr. Simon recommends, “To boost energy and alertness, it is best to take vitamin supplements after breakfast. Note that it is generally recommended to take vitamins with meals for better absorption and to prevent gastric discomfort.”
Fret not. The amounts of multivitamins are way below the toxic level so one has to take very huge doses before detrimental effects set in. However, it is still best to contact your doctor on taking multivitamin supplements to determine which vitamins you need to suit your lifestyle.
Of course, in conjunction with taking vitamins, Dr. Simon says that we should:
• Take a balanced and healthy diet. We should keep in mind that vitamin supplementation is not a substitute for a good diet, but they help fill in what we miss from our diets.
• Move your body. Regular exercise helps reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes; prevents osteoporosis; enhances self-esteem; reduces stress, among a lot of assorted benefits.
• Drink lots of water.
• And last but not the least, get enough sleep.
And like our football heroes James and Phil, B inspired and B at the top of your game!
