Among the main courses Red offers diners is the grilled lamb rump and shish kebab with dates couscous and confit of red peppers in cumin jus, a dish influenced by
Africa. Another highlight is the pairing of pan seared sea bass with roasted vegetable tarte and a Greek casserole, moussaka with eggplants and Feta cheese. Diners may also sample the simple yet elegant spaghetti vongole with palourde mussels and clams – a seafood treat from Italy. The zucchini and mushroom entrée, baked courgette and wild mushroom risotto with Portobello and Blue cheese gratin, displays the Italians’ and French’s influence on Mediterranean cuisine. The selection of desserts include mascarpone and red berry tea cake with forest berry sorbet, basil and extra virgin olive oil, chocolate cake with candied olive ice cream, and genuine homemade um-ali – a type of traditional Arabic bread pudding.
