Gillian Anderson bids 'Sex Education' goodbye with Golden Globes 2024 vagina-embroidered dress
MANILA, Philippines — British-American actress Gillian Anderson was quite the head-turner at the 2024 Golden Globes after wearing a gown with female reproductive parts on it.
Anderson hit the Globes red carpet in a customized Gabriela Hearst strapless ivory-cream dress, with vulvas embroidered in white thread around the lower portion.
In an interview with "Extra," Anderson explained the comfortable dress with pockets was done in collaboration with her G-Spot alternative wellness brand.
"The dress has yonis. There are so many yonis," Anderson said, using another term for vulvas. "I invited a pan to my yonis."
The actress also said each vulva took three-and-a-half hours to be embroidered on, making it 150 hours in total, made entirely in the garment district of New York City.
She completed the "brand appropriate" look as she told another media outlet Deadline with jewelery from Chopard and silver strapped heels and bag from Aquazzura.
Anderson showed more of the dress on her Instagram account, even posting a photo pretending to eat a sausage, "Sometimes you just need a sausage to go with your yoni dress."
The actress recently ended her stint on "Sex Education," where she played a sex therapist, after the show dropped its fourth and final season on Netflix.
She is also best known as Dana Scully on "The X-Files" and British prime minister Margaret Thatcher on the fourth season of "The Crown" — Anderson won Golden Globes for both performances.
The big winner of this year's Golden Globes among films was "Oppenheimer" with five accolades while on the television front, "Succession" took home four trophies while "The Bear" and "Beef" both won three awards.
