A day of wellness

MANILA, Philippines - It was a day of fitness and relaxation as the Spouses of Heads of Missions (SHOM), headed by energetic president Yasko Katsura, held their fundraising event. SHOM has a membership of about 30 women representing foreign embassies. The event, dubbed “A Day of Wellness,” charged a reasonable entrance fee and served food and drinks prepared in the kitchens of the different embassies. 

Practical workshops — such as Zen meditation, yoga, Pilates, and reflexology — were scheduled. Also on display were organic products, spices and medicinal plants for purchase. The newly launched SHOM cookbook was also available.

Beneficiaries were the home for the aged in Marikina, and went to assisting the poor in Payatas and Iloilo, and medical missions forcleft lip and palate operations. You may still donate to SHOM’s charities; call Chrisna at 812-9252 or Rose at 887-2250
