MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray expressed her frustration with the government, noting how "little care" is given to Filipinos despite being public servants.

On her Instagram broadcast channel "Updates with MUning" last Saturday morning, November 15, Catriona suggested that Filipinos' taxes should go to relief operations.

"A majority of our taxes can go directly to aid our communities and kababayans in need of relief whilst we await justice for the misuse of public funds and for a system to be put in place that we can actually trust?!" Catriona said.

The beauty queen followed up that message asking her channel members about the steps being done to "break down and rebuild this obviously broken and self-serving system."

"I don't know about you guys, pero wala na talaga akong trust sa government natin. They continually prove to us how little care they give for the people," Catriona continued. "So called 'public servant' are living more like kings and we're the servants."

Despite her frustration, Catriona said she is not going to stop being hopeful about future changes but reiterated her distrust with the current government to be the said "change we need AND DESERVE to see for our country."
