DEAR LUCKY,
Hi! I'm a very lost girl. I met this guy a few weeks ago, and our friends were pairing us up until a few days after I realized I like him gala. But now no one wants to help me because everyone thinks he's just one of those crushes. What should I do?
GIRLIE, 20
Hey Girlie, are you sure it's not just "one of those crushes" and you just really do a big big big crush on him? Well, if you think that you really like him enough to ask for your friends' help, then ask your closest friend from that group to help you out. I'm sure that if you can prove to your friends that you really like the person, they will help you out. Be very sure though, because you might end up eating your words, and they might not believe you again when the true feelings hit you.
DEAR LUCKY,
I was courting this girl and I eventually grew closer to her big brother. We'd always play "station 2" and basketball together. I like him a lot and I think I like him more than his sister. I think I'm falling for him and I really hope the feeling is mutual. But I'm so afraid to tell him because we might lose our friendship. My heart is breaking. I'm caught between admitting my true feelings and just preserving our relationship. Oh Lucky, what should I do? I'm dying in pain.
RODEL 18
Hey Rodel, I can say that you are in a big dilemma. Is he getting a bit "closer" to you, too? it looks like you know the consequences of whatever you do so at least you can be prepared for whatever. Maybe you can start with jokes or things like that so at least you can gauge his reaction and base your final move on it. If you can't stop yourself, just let it all out. I'm not assuring anything, but who knows,° right? Good luck! Keep me updated!
DEAR LUCKY,
My boyfriend and I are now having sex. I would like to be safe; what do you think is the best method? I don't want to have any STD or get pregnant. My parents would kill me. I've been hearing so much stuff but I don't know whom to believe. I want to talk to someone I could trust, I really hope you could share your views on this. Thanks so much.
GINA, 17
Hi Gina. Well, there are a lot of contraceptives in the market today. Let me start by saying that being sexually active is not about "fun," it's about being responsible. You have to be more responsible than ever before, but from your question, it seems you are trying to be. Okay... contraception time. Most common would be the condom (some guys dont like it cause they say it reduces the "feeling") or "the pill," which pretty much takes care of your hormones. If you want protection against both STDs and pregnancies, go for the condom; pills dont help against STDs. Best advice? Talk to a doctor or a family planner and ask for his or her advice. Hope I helped out... BE RESPONSIBLE!
