Best Beauty Tips From Models

- Rissa M. Samson -
The better you take care of yourself and your skin, the better you look and the less you need to cover." This is the beauty philosophy of ’80s supermodel Cindy Crawford.

Don’t we all wish we could have great skin — effortlessly? There are three things that account for our skin’s condition. First is your genes. Second is how you treat your body inside (meaning sleep, water, and healthy food). And third is how you treat the outside (protecting, moisturizing, and cleansing). Admit it — your genes may be out of your control, but the rest isn’t.

Going through countless hairstyling, makeup, and late-night rehearsals, models are perhaps the people with the most abused skin and hair. Let’s find out the beauty secrets of today’s generation of models.

Baba Parma:
My mom always bathed me with coconut milk to moisturize and smoothen my skin. And I still use coconut milk until now. I don’t use soap on my face. And I sleep a lot!

Grace Tagle:
Enough sleep and a regular application of moisturizer. Sunblock too.

Gary Dulatas:
Drink lots of water and whether you’re a guy or a girl, believe in the wonders (and cost efficiency!) of Johnsons baby products. Turo ’yan ng girlfriend ko, my beauty prof.

Bubbles Paraiso:
Always let your skin breathe by not wearing makeup all the time. Put on makeup only when necessary.

Nicolette Bell:
Have a healthy diet and have a positive outlook in life.

Valerie De Los Santos:
Drink at least eight glasses of water everyday and make it a point that you get the right amount of sleep and rest. It’s the best and cheapest way I know to get good, healthy, glowing skin!

Rachel Soriano:
Always have a positive attitude. Smile. That’s enough to keep you glowing all the time.

Bow Valdez:
Never sleep without washing your face. It’s also good to moisturize before going to bed. I also think smiling and feeling good inside give anyone a natural glow.

Paolo Paraiso:
Best tip I can give is to get lots of sleep, workout religiously and maintain a healthy diet.

Phoemela Baranda:
Actually, I just always keep my face clean and well-moisturized. And always be happy and feel good about yourself. In short, happy thoughts.

Fortune Santos:
Being true to one’s self is the besty tip I can give.

Ornusa Cadness:
My mom always taught me to use lipstick for acne. It’s quite effective. Just as long as your skin isn’t allergic.

Eazel Don:
You should have eight hours of sleep. If you have makeup, make sure to remove it before you go to sleep. Go to the derma at least three times in a month. Wash your face at least twice a day. Always take a bath and eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Drink a lot of water.

Brian Tan:
Try to wash your face with mild soap everyday, get enough sleep, and drink lots of water. Stay away from DRUGS! Avoid alcohol and smoking. And just simply be happy. Make it a daily habit to smile everyday. That’s the best tip I can give.
