Ilustrado turns 24
MANILA, Philippines - Celebrate 24 years of fine Filipino-Spanish cuisine with Ilustrado this October. The first day of October marked the launch of Paella Love II, a rerun of last year’s anniversary promotion which gained a lot of success among Ilustrado’s patrons and guests.
Enjoy a generous 50 percent off the promotional price for the entire month of October for its standard-sized paella dishes, good for three persons. Sample new offerings like Paella de Bagnet (a creamy and luscious bagnet-topped paella) and Paella de Chorizo Espanyol (a generous array of chorizo — Morocilla, Rioja, Chistorra de Bilbao and Butifarra) which will be offered only for the promotion.
Other paella dishes include staples like Paella Ilustrado (meats and seafood), Paella Verdura (vegetarian), Paella Marinara (all seafood), Paella Bacalao (with salted and dried cod fish as the main ingredient), Paella Negra (black or squid ink paella), and Paella de Pollo (Pamora farm, free range half spring chicken).
Now celebrating its 24th year, owners Boni and the late Rose Pimentel have built a large following of wedding and corporate clients. “It’s been a tremendous honor to have the support and loyalty of our patrons and clients over the past 24 years,†said Boni Pimentel.
Bea Pimentel, second-generation owner and presently Ilustrado’s general manager, adds: “Our tenure is a true testament to our hard work and dedication to fine-dining excellence and to be of service not just to our customers but to our long-standing staff who have contributed to the success of Ilustrado all these years.â€
Now that the baton is passed on to the younger Pimentels, Bea and her sister, Chef Bernice Pimentel, a graduate of ISCHAMM, are now both on top of running the day-to-day operations of the business.
