Whats your idea of a perfect day?
September 10, 2006 | 12:00am
We all dream of having a day like this once in a while: nothing goes wrong, the weather is perfect, we are surrounded by company we like (or maybe were all alone and thats a luxury for us), and were doing something we truly love, which could be going on a road trip or doing absolutely nothing.
When Im stuck in traffic or having a particularly difficult day, I think about my own perfect day spending time with my husband, kids and dogs with no worries or deadlines. The anticipation alone brightens up my day.
BERNIE CONCEPCION, businessman: My perfect day becomes complete when my grandson Enrique and I have quality time together. I experience the fullness of life when Im surrounded by children. They are a blessing!
CRISTINA PECZON, broadcast journalist: A perfect day is one with no cell phones, no deadlines, no meetings and no stress. Just me and Ben, taking our time to be ourselves, be grateful for the blessings that we have and enjoy simple pleasures like a good home-cooked meal, long naps and plenty of time to maybe hit the firing range (were both shooters), play video games, watch movies or... just relax with no plans for the day.
BARBIE PARDO TIANGCO, corporate communications exec for Dream Satellite: To wake up on my own (no alarm clocks), knowing that I have absolutely no plans for the day;a day when I can laze in bed with Spencer, my dog.
Maybemunch onpotato chips while mindlessly channel surfing.
LEAH V. DE GUZMAN, Handsets & Cards Management, Wireless Business Group, Globe Telecom: A perfect day for me is just sipping wine, listening to bossanova music in my flat.
IANNE EVANGELISTA, editor-in-chief, Cosmopolitan magazine: My perfect day entails acting like a teenager: sleeping until lunch, eating spaghetti, listening to my iPod and lying in bed doing all of nothing.
FE RODRIGUEZ, business executive: When everything turns out the way I planned it, when I have fulfilled my religious, family, business and social obligations for the day with no major difficulties, then an unexpected pleasant surprise comes along the way.
MICHELLE ALBANA-BUNAG, accessories designer: Perfect day is being with my family, sunny day, cool breeze, white-sand beach, great food, favorite book, shiatsu massage... no worries.
DARCY C. ONG, co-owner, Chedar Clothing: Its going to be a perfect day when I hear the big, breakthrough news that declares: "NO DIET AND NO EXERCISE will make us healthy and gorgeous!" Seriously, its when Im surrounded by all my loved ones, and we are all happy and contented that to me is perfect, a joyous blessing.
DIETHER OCAMPO, actor, publisher/Baby Couture: When I have enough stress to push me to my limits, giving me a chance to improve. A stress-free day for me is not an ideal day.
