'Ahas sa Robinsons?': Mall sets up Year of the Snake installations

MANILA, Philippines — The only snakes to be found in Robinsons Galleria as January ends are those making up celebrations for the Year of the Wood Snake.
Robinsons Department Store set up in the Ortigas mall's Atrium area a number of installations for Lunar New Year that will stay up until January 31.
Installations include horoscope readings, dice games, shopping for limited items, and chances at freebies.
Likely taking huge interest is a Mystery Fitting Room where shoppers are invited to enter and snap selfies in order to prove the "taong ahas sa Robinsons" urban legend isn't true.
The myth formed during the 1980s when actress Alice Dixson claimed to have encountered such a creature in one of the mall's dressing rooms.
Dixson has since denied any "taong ahas" actually existed, but over the years, the urban legend took a life of its own, with some even saying the "creature" was a member of the Gokongweis who own Robinsons.
