MANILA, Philippines — Television host "Kuya" Kim Atienza managed to look on the good and bad side of things after one of the dogs he adopted ate his passport.

Atienza shared a 30-second clip on TikTok of his damaged passport and telling off his senior dog Lolo Joe.

"Patience patience patience. My elderly dog Lolo Joe ate my passport," Atienza wrote in the post's caption accompanied by a sad emoticon. "Have a good day peeps!"

In the video, Atienza can be heard calling Lolo Joe "a bad dog," and the pet even attempted to take another bite at the ripped passport.

"Haynako, these are the perils of adopting dogs. This is my new passport," Atienza said, proceeding to tell off the rescued dog, "Kinain ang passport ko my gosh, haynako!"

In response to concerned followers commenting on the post, Atienza acknowledged he was at fault for not placing his passport out of the reach of his pets.

One TikTok user humorously commented Atienza's famous catchphrase, "Laging tandaan, ang buhay ay weather weather lang," while another joked about filing a case against Lolo Joe.

Atienza often rescues dogs, in the last year, adopting Lolo Raf and Granny, and has a variety of strange pets including an iguana, Macau birds, and a tortoise.
