LIST: Most popular wedding trends in TikTok for 2023 — data
MANILA, Philippines — In the Philippines, there is just the dry season and the wet season, but they have four seasons — spring, summer, fall/autumn, and winter — in many countries. Although the four seasons are not very pronounced in the Philippines, you can still feel and experience some weather characteristics that are closely associated with the four seasons during the times when they do occur.
Before summer (or the dry season) makes it scorching hot and uncomfortable, you can feel the fresh breeze of spring. It is not as dry to the feel as summer is. Summer is hot, dry, humid. Then comes a refreshingly moist but dry fall/autumn, and then it gets cool and chilly in December, when it is wintertime where four seasons occur.

According to wedding supply experts at Aura Print, the time between summer and autumn is a gorgeous time for a wedding, as longer days and sunshine turn the natural backdrop to amber hues and crisp air. They have also scoped out TikTok to find out what the Top 5 non-traditional end-of-summer 2023 wedding trends are according to TikTok views, and they are:

Pinterest’s 2023 wedding report also revealed a 490% increase in searches for ‘anti-bridal weddings’, and some unconventional Pinterest trends have included short wedding dresses, recycled dresses and bridal wedding suits.
Short wedding dresses, especially, have been all the rage since model and American personality Sofia Richie sported a post-wedding bespoke Chanel dress that sent shock waves through the wedding sphere. This trend has seen a 156.4% increase in searches this year, with over 15.3 million TikTok views.
Liam Smith, expert at Aura Print, provided his expertise on why non-traditional wedding trends are so popular for 2023: “As we approach the end of a very popular season for weddings, couples are looking for simple ways to cut costs, and the possibilities are endless. Intimate, non-traditional weddings have been on the rise this year, and this season will see the continuation of this trend.”
He added: "Forests, libraries and more intimate venues with smaller guest lists allow couples to have more meaningful interactions with their loved ones on their special day. As for Barbie and CBD themed weddings, these unique approaches have been inspired by global trends and have naturally soared in popularity. Cheerful and uplifting niche trends such as these can complement a wedding perfectly as we come to the end of the summer.”
