The Limons are coming!
May 28, 2005 | 12:00am
Mothers Day came a little early for hardworking school directress and cancer survivor Sylvia Limon, wife of big time telecom businessman and Nokias Philippine partner Ed Limon, when she was recently treated to a special day of indulgence and pampering at the spa.
Sylvia was joined by her lovely daughter and first-time mother-to-be herself, Mai Mai and her husband, A. veneto Pizzeria owner and chef Cocoy Ignacio at the Dermalogica Spa in Rustans where they enjoyed the ultimate bonding experience a combination of relaxing facial and massage treatments designed for each of their specific skin needs. Afterwards, the lively trio shared their spa stories while savoring a selection of delectable Asian-style canapés such as seared tuna on toast and an assortment of artistically arranged sushi, sashimi and dimsum that was specially prepared by head chef Him Uy De Baron of East Café.
Temperatures rose and pulses raced as summer was officially kicked into full swing with a sizzling salsa party that transformed the patio garden of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel into a vibrant, carnival-like atmosphere to rival that of the famed Mardi Gras in Rio de Janeiro. Adding color to the festivities, guests also got a chance to check out German fashion label Escadas latest limited edition fragrance, Rockin Rio, which perfectly captures the sweet, sensual and free-spirited side of the sunny season.
It was non-stop partying as top Latin band Puro Ritmo kept the bossa nova beat going well into the night.
