Jump rope may be the most handy and portable workout tool available. Jumping rope is a great calorie-burner; burns 300 calories when performed for 30 minutes. In other words, you would have to run an eight-minute mile to work off more calories than you would burn jumping rope.
Aside from weight loss, it also increases cardiovascular fitness and is a great way to improve the muscle tone in your legs and lower body. Peter Schulman, MD, associate professor, Cardiology/Pulmonary Medicine, University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington said, "It strengthens the upper and lower body and burns a lot of calories in a short time."

Plyometrics also known as jump training targets both the speed and strength of your body, which results to power. Because plyometric training strengthens muscles and decreases impact forces on the joints, it may reduce the risk of injury in some people, enhances ability to burn calorie, increases muscle endurance, and develops muscle power.
All data is from the Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise journal, the official journal of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Kickboxing involves punches, kicks, and other techniques. It is considered a high-intensity and high-impact exercise. The cardio-conditioning element of kickboxing is one of the most effective ways to burn fat. Kickboxing alone burns about 750 calories in an hour; combining it with jump rope exercises and you will burn up to 900 calories. In addition to that, the constant movement in kickboxing improves flexibility and reflexes. It also takes out stress and aggression, which helps you get a better night’s sleep and improve mental clarity.
