Homegrown goodness in Filipino cuisine

-

MANILA, Philippines - Filipino cuisine is not complete without kare-kare. It is widely believed that kare-kare is a homegrown concoction that has unique characteristics depending on the region where it comes from.

Lasap Food Mixes developed a kare-kare recipe with premium, locally-made food flavorings designed to capture the distinct Filipino taste. Aside from kare-kare, Lasap also offers sinigang mix, kaldereta mix, breading mix, tocino marinating mix, adobo mix, barbecue marinade mix, sweet and sour mix, menudo meat stew mix, curry seasoned mix, and sisig seasoned mix.

Ingredients:

1 Lasap Kare-kare Mix

4 cups of water

1 bunch (tali) pechay leaves

1 bunch (tali) sitaw

1/2 cup bagoong (shrimp fry paste) as sauce
