The world on a platter
Dining doldrums aside, eating the same old things can get boring very quickly. The solution to gestation ennui lies — easily enough — in a range of restaurants that go round the world — dish-wise — in the span of a quick stroll. Thanks to

Café Med made a name for itself serving tasty Mediterranean treats like its signature gyro, hunks of beef or chicken wrapped in warm flatbread and drizzled with creamy garlic sauce. The Café plates up some seriously filling goods for any hungry family. Highlights of the menu include chicken kebab with Moroccan rice pilaf (P225), grilled chicken on a bed of buttered rice, including a lamb version (P275), and a sampler plate of appetizers like hummus, baba ghanoush and falafel (P200). The must-try is the beef kebab pizza (P320). A mouthwatering slab of dough is topped with spices, a thin layer of tomato sauce and masala, slices of onions and chunks of beef. The kicker is the garlic sauce drizzled on top, taking the pizza out of the realm of conventional Italian-American fare. For a finishing touch, the pizza is topped with pickled chili.
