Michelle Dee shares headshot as Miss Universe 2023 opens fan voting
MANILA, Philippines — Fan voting for the Miss Universe 2023 has officially begun, where individuals can vote for their favorite candidate to obtain a spot in the semifinal round.
The Philippines representative Michelle Dee shared on Instagram her official headshot taken by photographer Dennis Sulit in a two-piece white ensemble by Vilrick Cruz and accessories from Jewelmer.
Michelle collaborated on the creative direction of the shoot, with Sulit and filmmaker-videographer Joshua Salva on visuals, doing a reel shared by the beauty queen and the Miss Universe Philippines organization.
The headshots of over 80 confirmed entrants can be found on the Miss Universe's app, operated by Choicely. Each headshot contains brief information about the contestant.
Michelle's headshot information includes her educational background, professions and advocacy for Autism Acceptance.
The information section also includes Michelle describing herself as "unapologetic, wishing to have the power to control time, being inspired by people who maximize their highest potential and encourage others to do the same, and being unable to live without her camera."
There are different price levels for a given number of votes on the app: three votes cost $1 (P57), 15 votes are $4.99 (P283), 40 votes are $9.99 (P567), 85 votes are $19.99 (P1,133), 220 votes are $49.99 (P2,834), 450 votes are $99.99 (P5,670), and a thousand votes are $199.99 (P11,340).
