It was an afternoon of leg love.

Legs ruled the runway as City Lady, a pioneer brand in the hosiery industry, together with one of Manila’s most fashion-forward designers, Kate Torralba, successfully launched their new line of hipper, ultra-stylish stockings, Leg Love: Kate Torralba for City Lady stockings.

Kate is very much in love, as she admitted during the unveiling of her new stockings collection for City Lady. “I’ve had this love affair with stockings for the longest time,” Torralba confesses. “This figure of mine might be petite, but stockings really do add that oomph that matches my larger-than-life style.”

Held at the Conservatory of Peninsula Manila Hotel in Makati, a very apt Moulin Rouge-inspired fashion show drew approving cheers from the full-house crowd. The fresh, new look of the latest stockings provided a new way of looking at what many women consider a mere necessity, undergarments. To underscore this point, the stage was set up in such a way that only the legs of the models were revealed wearing, of course, the Leg Love line.

City Lady’s collaboration with Torralba happened instantaneously. Kate was psyched at the prospect of doing a hosiery line; the result is an exclusive and exciting collection of fun and flirty stockings. With Torralba’s flair for the avant-garde, Leg Love does not have just one but three mini-themed collections characterized by texture in neutrals, interestingly colored solids, and limited-edition Leg Love prints that are very KT.

“Leg Love is for women of all ages and statuses! It’s made for every lady who is hip, confident, and not afraid to be bold or tongue-in-cheek. They’re pretty sure of themselves and don’t hesitate to be fashion standouts,” Torralba later enthuses.

Limited-edition Leg Love prints also punctuate this particular line of stockings.

Gracing the event were Manila Bay Hosiery Mills general manager Arthur Tanco Jr., MBHMI treasurer Carolina Young, Audrey Tanco, marketing manager of Bizu Patisserie and daughter of Arthur Tanco, Mr. and Mrs. Arturo Tanco Sr., Geraldine Tanco, Alaine Reyes, Mich Mella and Grace Sy, as well as SM executives Harley Sy, Katrina Yu, Bernie Ngo, Carol Mahusay and Lia Colayco. Celebrities like Miriam Quiambao and Issa Litton were also on hand to witness the collection’s unveiling.
