At long lash, thicker eyelashes!

Dear Mary,
I envy people who have thick eyelashes because mine are really so sparse. How can I thicken them?
Selina
Heres a tried and tested trick you can try to thicken your eyelashes (or give them an illusion of thickness): Powder your eyelashes with face powder before using mascara. Let it dry before you apply a second coat of mascara. Mascara helps thicken and elongate eyelashes.
Or you can try what your grandmother probably did in her time to thicken her eyelashes: Every night, before going to bed, rub your eyelashes with castor oil. Some swear that their eyelashes grew thicker because of castor oil.

Hi, Lucy!
I gave birth last January by C-section. Is there any way I can lose the baby weight immediately? I have two other kids and Im a very busy person, which is why I dont have much time to exercise. I was thin before I got pregnant with my youngest son.

Im sorry, but I really do not believe in shortcuts to losing weight. Usually, the people I know who gave birth through C-section had a longer time getting rid of the bulge in the tummy area, but with discipline and commitment, they were able to fit back into their pre-pregnancy clothes. Some of them even got trimmer!
For lasting and more permanent results, you should embrace healthy eating habits. Even if you cannot couple it with an exercise program just yet, healthy eating still is the most sensible thing to do especially because you have a new baby to take care of. Say no to all those quick fixes because not only are they temporary, they can also pose a risk to your health. And at the soonest possible time, work out your schedule so you can squeeze in an activity that will help make you lose weight. Find something you love so you will not feel like it is such a chore. If you happen to be a hands-on mother, though, you need not look very far. Taking care of a new baby is enough to make you lose weight! Lucy
Dear Tingting,
I have brown skin and I want to have whiter or fairer skin. I have been trying different creams and also tried pills, but I dont see any change. Ive spent a lot of money. How do these actresses who have dark skin become fair-skinned? ELIZA
Dr. Imelda Cervantes recommends glutathione pills (available at health stores), taken either orally or injected. Glutathione is actually a wonder supplement thats good not just for the (aging) skin but also for overall health. It is an antioxidant that helps boost the immune system, which is why it is given to HIV/AIDS patients, too. It was accidentally discovered that when taken in high doses and over a period of time, it lightens the color of the skin. Studies prove glutathiones skin-lightening properties.
