30s the best time to start a skincare regimen
September 29, 2004 | 12:00am
Dear Lucy,
Im 30 years old and I apply moisturizer on my face day and night. This moisturizer has a Q-10 antiaging ingredient. I dont have wrinkles yet, but Im worried that Id get them soon. Please tell me if what Im doing is okay. Joy
You are right on the dot. Now is the best time to really embrace a good skincare regimen because you are already entering your 30s. If your face is not too oily and you see happy results with the moisturizer you are now using, by all means continue applying the product on your face. Perhaps you should also start using an eye cream because skin under the eye area is very delicate; it needs a lot of TLC, too. Lucy
Hi Tingting!
Im preparing for my wedding this December and my future hubby has decided to tender an outdoor cocktail reception amid the windy and breathtaking view of Taal Volcano at a posh Tagaytay hotel. My question is: Is it possible to have an early afternoon cocktail party? My wedding is at 10:30 a.m., to be officiated by a priest at a hotel suite with only 30 guests. It will be followed by a buffet lunch reception at the hotel cafe. We will be hosting an outdoor cocktail party at 2 p.m. for over 100 invited relatives and friends at the hotel lawn area. We wanted the wedding party to be unique so instead of making it a formal affair, we created a theme which is rodeo-western-inspired, where all guests can come wearing their best cowboy/cowgirl outfits. There will be live western music and real horses. What do you think? Frio Caliente
Being that informal, you could play games like pinning the donkeys tail and give the winners prizes. When the guests arrive and enter the premises, let them draw from a cowboy hat the names of the guests who theyll sit next to during lunch. Serve the wine in barrels. Let guests dance to western music. Tingting
Dear Ms. Mary,
I want to lose some pounds. Is the 3-day diet advisable for a breastfeeding mom like me? Myla
The 3-day diet is a healthy diet, and it would probably not harm you while breastfeeding. But I suggest that you do it when youve stopped nursing your baby. Usually, there are times that one feels hungry and in the diet, you cannot eat any snacks. Mary
