Heart Evangelista, Andrea Brillantes do the Latina challenge
MANILA, Philippines — Heart Evangelista and Andrea Brillantes have joined the viral Latina challenge on social media.
Heart, like most celebrities and online personalities who joined the trend, used the original audio attributed to online personality Sesable in her TikTok page.
The actress-model sits inside her "artista" van, sporting a bright pinkish-reddish hair and mouthing the words of the viral challenge.
“Sobrang Latina. Sobrang sarap ng babaeng ito. Hayop ka talaga,” Heart mouths the viral catchphrase that refers to the person uttering compliments for herself for looking attractive.

Andrea Brillantes has a similar video of hers featuring Sesable’s audio, but she merely projects in front of the camera. In a separate TikTok post, she also did the viral Latina makeup trend.

Recently-crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 Dia Mate also joined the viral challenge. She donned a red gown with her newly minted crown, the second crown for the Philippines from the annual Latin American pageant tilt after Winwyn Marquez in 2017.
Her fans left comments on her post, some reading, “Latina slayer,” a term that was attached to the Filipina beauty queen after her recent win over the contestants that hailed mostly from Latin American countries.

The Sobrang Latina challenge is attributed to Sesable, who said in an interview that the catchphase was her spontaneous comment on her Latina-inspired look promoting a brand.
In her video, she was heard describing her appearance as “Sobrang Latina!” “Gorjuice,” and “Monyeka.” “Gorjuice” is an obvious play on the English word “gorgeous,” while “monyeka” is spelled differently to the Spanish word “muñeca,” which refers to a doll.
