MANILA, Philippines — The Owner/President Management (OPM) Program of Harvard Business School has given out its first Leadership Awards to individuals that have made substantial contributions to the Philippines.

Harvard OPM Philippines, founded and chaired by Pinky Tobiano, recognized and celebrated the outstanding achievements of select individuals in the country who have set themselves apart in their respective fields.

Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Henry Lim Bon Liong, head of the Sterling Paper Group of Companies and SL Agritech Corporation, leads the awardees for elevating the country's rice industry.

Esquire Financing founder Rajan Uttamchandani was recognized with the Award for Leadership Excellence in Finance and Business Advisory; news anchor Rico Hizon for Truth in Journalism and Philippine Airlines president Stanley Ng Kua for Leadership Excellence.

Other Leadership Excellence awardees include Abenson Group of Companies founder Wilson Lim, Mega Global Founder William Tiu LimAnaKalusugan Rep. Ray Florence Reyes, New Panay Agri-venture Development Inc. leader Roswell Limsui and retail veteran Chan Kok Bin.

During the awarding ceremony, recipients were serenaded by singer Erik Santos, who is celebrating his 20th year in the local entertainment business.
