Are you ready for a Korean feast?

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - If it is true that the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, then the food offerings at Chef’s Noodle will surely delight him no end. The restaurant, through its celebrity chef, Choi In Sun, will offer a selection of Korean favorites when it opens on Sept. 18 at the University Mall along Taft Avenue, Manila.

Veering away from the usual Korean restaurants in the Philippines, Chef’s Noodle’s menu is sure to excite local diners, even Korean expats. Whether you are in the mood for noodle dishes, sushi or rice meals, the interesting fare at the restaurant will surely catch your fancy. It offers a wonderful spread of traditional Korean dishes with a modern touch. Simply put, it is set to raise the bar in the fast-casual restaurant scene in the country.

Aside from chef Choi In Sun, another celebrity endorser of Chef’s Noodle is model/host/DJ Grace Lee, who is also expected to be at the restaurant’s grand launch. Grace Lee, who has become a local favorite for her sweet demeanor and popular radio show, is a perfect partner for chef Choi In Sun to represent the brand. Both are highly-successful in their own right, proud of their Korean roots, big foodies and are happily living in the Philippines, the second home they’ve already grown to love.

Grand launch

The restaurant’s grand launch on the second floor of the University Mall on Tuesday is expected to be a fun-filled day. The first branch of the restaurant is expected to be a hit among the students in the area, particularly those who have a fondness for Korean food and basically all things Korean. They will get the chance to enjoy and savor a delicious Korean feast that is also surprisingly wallet-friendly. As the restaurant franchise targets students and families who love to have a good meal, it is important to keep dishes affordable yet delicious. Of course, the restaurant will also make sure to do all these without scrimping on Korean ingredients. This way, the authenticity of the flavor is maintained.

For a sampling of what to expect at this Korean restaurant franchise, here’s a peek at some of Chef’s Noodle’s yummy dishes. The Chef’s Noodle is the restaurant’s signature dish, which is topped with tamago, spouts, fried tofu, jun-ya, kutchai and beef broth. It will also serve spicy Korean noodles like bibim noodles, which are cold noodles topped with bulgogi, tamago, sprouts, kutchai with sweet and spicy bibim sauce. There’s also japchae, or sweet potato noodles (dangmyeon) stir fried in sesame oil with vegetables and bulgogi.

Complementing its extensive menu is the restaurant’s relaxed ambiance, which will surely provide diners a delightful dining experience. Well-lighted interiors and a spacious dining area allow guests to fully enjoy their meals while the courteous staff members of the restaurant make everyone feel more at home.

Soon, Chef’s Noodle will also have branches in other parts of the country as the company is also available for franchising.
