Paulo Avelino to 'step away' from work for 'GTA 6,' 'Path of Exile 2'
MANILA, Philippines — Filipinos may not be seeing a lot of actor Paulo Avelino for a while as he goes into gamer mode, quite literally.
Paulo posted a humorously constructed letter to fans and collaborators across his social media platforms indicating he'd be turning down all kinds of projects beginning Halloween.
"After a lot of prayer and some hard conversations at home, I'm stepping away from everything effective October 31," the actor said. "The movies, the teleserye, all my endorsements. Everything."
He pointed out that the much-awaited sixth version of "Grand Theft Auto" is finally dropping on November 19 while another video game "Path of Exile 2" hits shelves on December 11.
The actor shared he had seen an extended look of the latter game, which just added swords for players, and he "has not been okay since."
Paulo jokingly advised his legal counsel to inform those planning to sue him that he'll be available again by March next year
"I'll have 100% GTA completion and a build nobody can touch by then. Sue me at my peak. Wag niyo ako i-tag sa clips. Babalik din ako. Basta. God bless po," the actor ended.
The only remaining project Paulo has this year is cross-cultural drama series "Kopino" opposite his love team partner Kim Chiu, their fifth collaboration together.
