MANILA, Philippines — Prayers began flowing in for host-actress Kris Aquino after she revealed new health complications that could put her at major risk for the rest of the year.

Kris was the guest of the February 14 — her 53rd birthday — episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," calling from Los Angeles where she is seeking treatment for autoimmune diseases.

The "Queen of All Media" confirmed she is suffering from a fifth autoimmune disease, has fluctuating blood pressure, and has swollen knees and bones.

The next six months will be crucial for Kris because on February 19, she will try a new biological medicine that could save her heart but may put her at major risk of suffering a cardiac arrest.

Another risk is the new medicine requires the patient needing steroids — which Kris may have side effects from — beforehand to avoid anaphylactic shock and on the medication date, she won't have any immunity and will be prone to more illnesses.

After the episode aired, Kris expressed on social media once more her gratitude to Boy for the opportunity to relay her deteriorating health and asked for more prayers.

"I still want to live, I know the odds are against me dahil ang puso hindi pwedeng diktahan pero sana sa tulong ng dasal n'yo mabigyan pa ko ng konting extension. YOU HAVE MY LOVE & ETERNAL GRATITUDE," Kris said on Instagram, acknowledging she might have celebrated her last birthday.

Leading the prayers for Kris was Jinkee Pacquiao, wife of boxer-politician Manny Pacquiao, "God is merciful. He is our ultimate healer. Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. 'By His stripes you will be healed.' In Jesus' Name!"

Also offering prayers were Ogie Alcasid, Aga Muhlach, Darren Espanto, Coney Reyes, Lorna Tolentino, Isabel Oli-Prats, Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano, Chesca Kramer, Vina Morales, Mark Leviste, and Darla Sauler.

In the same Instagram post, Kris shared a video of herself with her sons Josh and Bimb in matching pyjamas while reading greeting cards.

"Bawat araw, especially now na birthday ko pa, pahiram na lang 'to ng Diyos — binigyan ako ng bonus. So whatever days are left, kung anuman natitira, it's a blessing," Kris previously told Boy. "But I really want to stay alive. I mean, sino ba naman gusto sabihin, 'Handa na akong mamatay.' I don't think any of us can say that."

Kris even joked that Boy could help in paying for her medical bills, "That's your gift, sa'yo na ako magko-commission. I refuse to die. Ang next chapter ko ay to be a stage mother!"
