Weekend list: Coconut trade fair, cat adoption drive
MANILA, Philippines – It is a jampacked last weekend for August.
From a cat adoption drive to checking out bazaars for Christmas gift ideas, here is a list of activities to check out this weekend.
Coconut Trade Fair
For those who like to start their Christmas shopping early, the DTI Coconut Philippines Trade Fair returns this year from August 26 to 30 at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City.
The all-coconut event brings together Filipino MSMEs and showcases the many possibilities of the country’s coconut industry.
From food and fashion to home and lifestyle, the fair highlights innovative, locally made products that celebrate the versatility, craftsmanship and potential of the coconut.
Cat adoption drive
Araneta City community volunteer, City Cats, is set to find a new home for more than 20 cats and kittens that are all neutered and vaccinated.
The cat adoption drive will take place at Ali Mall in Araneta City on August 30.
Alabang Pinoy fair
Southies can drop by Alabang Town Center for the Global Pinoy Fair. It features fashion, home and lifestyle brands alongside newer small makers.
The fair runs from August 28 to 31 and is open during mall hours.
Live shows
Concerts for the final weekend of August is highlighted by the "Biyaheng Bente" 20th Anniversary show of singer Yeng Constantino.
The "Pinoy Dream Academy" winner will take over the Araneta Coliseum on August 28 and 29 to show her appreciation to fans.
Also taking place on August 29 is the "P1ece of Yu" fan meet of returning "One Piece" star Mackenyu at the Theatre at Solaire.
