What to do this weekend: Races, expos, shows!
MANILA, Philippines — July about to end and rain clouds are making their presence known, but that won't stop Filipinos from heading out in search of things to do for the weekend.
From races and expos to live entertainment, here's a list of events to watch out for from July 24 to 26.
Show time
Global group AHOF, featuring Filipino JL Gaspar, are back in the Philippines but this time for the boy band's first-ever tour.
After concerts in Korea, Japan, and Malaysia, AHOF will take over the Mall of Asia Arena on July 25 and 26 before continuing to Taiwan, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
The "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan" musicals meanwhile will be ending their Manila at the Theater of Solaire and Proscenium Theater, respectively.
Theater fans need not worry as "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sh*t! It's Live Sa Cheter!" starring Eugene Domingo is still running at Quezon City's PETA Theater Center.
Two intimate OPM shows will take place on July 25: Ebe Dancel, Mark Carpio, and The Tiyos will be at Taytay's Grimaldi Restobar while Gab Cabangon leads a lineup at Quezon City's Backdoor.
Expos
The Philippine Game Dev Expo is back this year for a fourth time, bringing together the local gaming industry and the wealth of talent within it.
Engaging panels, international exhibitors, and a wide range of workshops and activities can be expected anew this whole weekend at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay.
Coinciding with it in the same venue is the Sticky Expo for everyone in search of stickers, arts, and crafts.
