Liam Payne's son to inherit P1.78B estate

MANILA, Philippines — Bear Grey Payne, the only child of British singer Liam Payne, will be the sole heir of his late father's estate following his death two years ago.
Court documents obtained by entertainment outlets detail that Bear alone will inherit the former One Direction member's estate worth $29,007,998 (P1.78 billion).
Part of the money can be used now but a majority of it will be held in a trust until the now nine-year-old reaches the legal age of 18.
Bear is Liam's son with ex-girlfriend and fellow singer Cheryl Cole, who was named the administrator of Liam's estate after the singer suddenly died without issuing a will. Cole shares the duty with legal counsel attorney Richard Mark Bray.
The BBC reported then that Cheryl and Bray will "manage the money, but currently have limited authority and cannot distribute it."
Liam first met Cheryl while he was a teenage contestant on "The X Factor," where One Direction was formed. They eventually dated from 2016 to 2018 after the group went on hiatus.
The British singer died in October 2024 after falling from a hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was 31 years old when he passed away.
