Bianca Manalo backs ex Sherwin Gatchalian for WinRi tandem
MANILA, Philippines — Beauty queen-turned-actress Bianca Manalo expressed support for her former partner Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, even the growing fanbase of the WinRi tandem.
Bianca spoke to members of the media during the sidelines of the Binibining Pilipinas 2026 Gala last June 22, where she briefly discussed approaching unwanted attention.
She was then asked about her message of support for Sherwin following his formal election as the new Senate President. The two had begun dating in 2018 but ended their relationship sometime in the last couple of years.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2009 titleholder pointed out she and Sherwin remain very good friends and even share custody of their three dogs whom they view as children.
"'Pag may kailangan or may sakit [sila], kino-contact ko pa rin siya... Siya pa rin ang tumatayong daddy," Bianca added.

Bianca was also asked her reaction towards the viral #WinRi hashtag, which sees social media users shipping Sherwin with fellow senator Risa Hontiveros.
"Why not?!" Bianca exclaimed. "Alam mo, kung ikauunlad ng ating bansa 'yung ginagawa nilang dalawa, which is 'yun naman talaga..." she said.
She even brought up how the two senators were instrumental in the eradication of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators or POGOs, particularly Risa.
"Full support ako sa kanilang dalawa. So, why not?" Bianca ended. "Up to now [Senate President] Sherwin has my full support and I will forever be proud of him."
