Girl's School Troubles

It started out innocently enough: a friend had sent a copy of our demo tape (horrible as it was) to this private girl's school, for entry into their fair's battle of the bands. He also sent a copy of his own band's demo, as well as another friend's band.
Now, what struck us as weird was that by nature, our music was definitely not for commercial consumption; our friend's band was definitely more mass-listenable, being a mix of funk and metal, as opposed to our classical-metal-hodge-podge sound.
