Misamis Oriental bet withdraws from Binibining Pilipinas 2026
MANILA, Philippines — Ivy Reyes Padilla, the official representative of Misamis Oriental, has withdrawn from the Binibining Pilipinas 2026 competition due to personal reasons, the Binibining Pilipinas Organization announced on Monday.
In an official statement posted on social media, the organization said it respects Padilla's decision and expressed its full support for the beauty queen during this time.
"She has expressed that she can no longer continue due to personal reasons. We fully respect her decision and stand in support of her during this time," the organization said.
The Binibining Pilipinas Organization also appealed to the public to extend understanding and compassion as Padilla navigates her personal circumstances.
"On behalf of the entire Binibining Pilipinas Organization and the Binibining Pilipinas 2026 candidates, we wish Ivy strength, peace, and fulfillment. She will always have our support and a place she can call home," the statement added.
With Padilla's withdrawal, the competition now has 35 official candidates vying for the coveted Binibining Pilipinas crowns.
The pageant's National Costume Competition is scheduled for July 2 at the New Frontier Theater, while the grand coronation night will be held on July 18 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Padilla had been representing Misamis Oriental and was among the 36 candidates introduced earlier this year. Her withdrawal comes just weeks before the pageant finals.
