360-degree video of Tubbataha Reef featured in Monaco
MANILA,Philippines - The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco is currently featuring the Philippines’s Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park in 360-degree immersive experience, state news reported.
The initiative, led by Prince Albert II, is meant to raise awareness on the issue of sea turtles.
Early this April, the Prince of Monaco visited the Philippines and was welcomed with a luncheon in Malacañang. His trip included a visit to the UN World Heritage Site, Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park.
Aside from diving into Sulu's biodiversity-rich waterscape, he also donated two turtles named after his two children, Jacques and Gabriella.
Under the ImmerSEAve 360 program, people visiting the museum will be able to view the Prince's adventure in the Tubattaha Reefs Natural Park through a mobile phone attached to a virtual reality headgear and a headphone.
The exhibit will run until Aug. 31, 2016.
According to its website, the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, which is towering 280 feet over the sea was built from 100,000 tons of native rock. It was inaugurated in 1910 by Prince Albert I.
