Top of the Class?
MANILA, Philippines - The first time that Ryzza Mae Dizon competed for Eat Bulaga’s coveted Little Miss Philippines pageant, she lost to another contestant. While she definitely doesn’t look anything like the girls she competed with, Ryzza is in a class all her own. In a twist of fate, she got her second chance in the competition; it’s obvious that they want her. In a way, her presence took everyone back to the ‘80s; back when Aiza Seguerra kept countless pairs of eyes glued to the screens from Aparri to Jolo.
However, times have changed. Aiza came out as a lesbian and is nearing 30. Hollywood’s idea of a kiddie pageant winner is a foul-mouthed, redneck seven-year-old named Honey Boo Boo. These days, child stars come and go. One minute, they’re dancing on TV in ridiculously cute costumes, then you blink and they’re slapping MTRCB restrictions over how inappropriately slutty their dresses are.
Thank God we have Ryzza Mae Dizon now.
Supreme marches to the top with Eat Bulaga’s latest kiddie sensation Ryzza Mae Dizon on losing, winning, family, and fun. We find out how the Little Mutya ng Sto. Niño Pampang is graduating to the big leagues after being crowned and nabbing a sitcom in an exclusive interview.
SUPREME: When you won the Little Miss Philippines title, what was your beauty queen moment? What was the first thing that came to your head when Bossing called you as the winner?
