More fashion and drama at the seventh Star Magic Ball
MANILA, Philippines - There are balls and there is the Star Magic Ball. For seven years now it has been the most anticipated event of the year, more than any awards night or gala. It is the brainchild of ABS-CBN Star Magic power couple Johnny Manahan and Mariole Alberto and PR genius Keren Pascual. Every year it only gets bigger and brighter as the Star Magic family grows in size and sheer superstar magnitude.
It is the time when the most celebrated fashion designers, most in-demand stylists and best make-up artists get into the frenzy of dressing up and putting together the most famous celebrities in the country.
But this year was different. It was not your typical sit-down dinner. It was cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, much more relaxed and casual. Held at Fairmont Hotel in Makati and sponsored by O+ and Moët & Chandon, the 2013 Star Magic Ball featured fashion show style risers that go up to four tiers and seats the industry’s biggest stars, industry moguls and entertainment insiders.
This year, for the first time in Star Magic Ball history and in lieu of the traditional cotillion de honor, Michael Cinco presented his “5inco de Matador, The Impalpable Dream of Andalusia.†Every piece in the collection was blindingly beautiful and breathtakingly crafted.
Michael was given a Special Recognition for his worldwide achievements by Piolo Pascual and Gretchen Barretto together with Aveline Siy, marketing director of O+ Philippines.
The Moët & Chandon Fabulous Pair went to Xiam Lim and Kim Chui.
The O+ Male and Female Star of the Night were Joseph Marco and Empress.
The Couple of the Night was teen king and queen Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo
And The Best Dressed Male and Female celebrities of the night was new couple in their first outing, Gerald Anderson and Maja Salvador.
