Apple David responds to bashers over dating rumors with Chad Gammad
MANILA, Philippines — PBA courtside reporter Apple David is now facing controversy after her dating rumors with 18-year-old basketball player Chad Gammad surfaced.
A number of social media users discussed the noticeable age-gap between the 34-year-old Apple and the collegiate basketball player who is almost twice her age.
Through TikTok live, Apple responded to the bashers who bashed her.
“Hindi talaga nila nage-gets no? Sa buhay ba natin, lagi tayong nakakapili?” Apple said.
“Paano ‘yung mga dumating bigla na sitwasyon and you just can’t explain it? I cannot explain it. I guess kahit anong ingay niyo or [kahit] iparating niyo sa ibang universe ‘tong issue, kahit ano pang bashing ang abutin niyan, kayo lang ang nase-stress,” she added.
Another netizen told Apple that the frontal lobe of the brain of 18-year-olds is not yet fully developed.
“Masama bang bigyan ng chance? Nag-click eh. Anong gagawin ko? So ‘yung mga 18 years old (sic) bawal mag-girlfriend and boyfriend kasi hindi pa fully developed [ang frontal lobe]? Or nagkataon lang kasi na mas matanda ako kaya issue. Ano bang point dito?” she said.
Apple can be seen in the video smiling and dancing to the background song “That’s The Way I Like It” by K C & The Sunshine Band.
Meanwhile, Chad, who plays for the NCCA school Letran, has yet to make a statement regarding the issue.
