MANILA, Philippines — Pandora — especially its charm bracelets — represent milestones and special memories. Starting out in sterling silver, it’s not so much about the material it’s made of but what it represents. Whether you buy it for yourself or it is gifted to you, it’s never just a bracelet, or a necklace, or a ring — as the brand has evolved and grown through the years. Gold symbolizes wisdom, wealth, triumph and beauty and is now in the Pandora Shine collection. “Last year, Pandora launched Pandora Rose, a 14k rose gold-plated. This year, it’s affordable gold — gold without breaking their bank — 18k gold-plated sterling silver,” says Lucerne head of marketing for luxury brands Riza Torres.

Honey is dubbed liquid gold, and the Bee Mine reflects it with geometric honeycomb motifs, black enamel stripes and clear cubic zirconia stones for the Queen Bee in your life. For the woman who is the center of your universe, the Rays of Sunshine series has a vintage look, from its golden enamel hue, the Rays of Sunshine charm and medallion pendant, to the new sliding bracelet.

The Danish brand also took the launch as an opportunity to start a paying-it-forward movement among its tribe. “When Pandora first spoke to us, what first came to mind was how women and our accomplishments often goes unnoticed. We just have so much on our plates every day, getting things done. It takes a loved one, a friend, a stranger, to give a woman the recognition she deserves,” says Preview editor in chief Isha Anadaya-Valles on nominating the eight remarkable women in the #DoShineBright campaign.

“Anytime we’re given the opportunity to work together, we bring out each other’s shine. We are most confident when we have each other’s backs,” says Neon Island’s Alyssa “Chii” Gibbs of sister and fellow Do Shine woman, digital influencer and makeup artist Gabriella “Gabs” Gibbs.       

Ride Revolution’s master instructor and general manager Ida Paras, senior instructor Lexi Gancayco, and cycling instructor Chrissie Torres are in as a team, as they always are. “Every day, we teach, we’re not madamot with what we know,” Paras reveals their RideRev secret.

“It’s a responsibility to pay it forward. I have big dreams for the Philippine fashion industry. I want to see it go places. I’m here to support everyone,” says Aranaz’s Amina Aranaz.

Aranaz’s protégé, designer Gabbie Sarenas has the same vision. “She is somebody I would want to be in the future. I teach at SOFA, she teaches me, and I teach her.”

“Every time I get to touch someone’s face, I’m able to empower her,” says celebrity makeup artist Anthea Bueno.

Torres affirms, beyond Pandora coming up with new designs to make women shine brighter, “It is deeply rooted in Pandora’s DNA — empowering women, celebrating their uniqueness, and being the best versions of themselves.”
