Style Origin at TriNoma: Campus cool
MANILA, Philippines - A fashion pep rally was recently staged at TriNoma, where Ayala Malls’ Style Origin made its fifth stop in its series of fashion shows for the year. Teeming with youthful glee and colorful fashion, it was a chance for the cool kids to showcase their style down the Style Origin runway. With the theme, College Fashion, the show was vibrant and high-energy. Balloons, inflatable clappers and flags added to the campus cool vibe, while college “it†boys and girls made special appearances onstage, including hosts VJ Chino Lui Pio and VJ Joyce Pring, the UP Street Dance Club, Kylie Padilla, Kiefer Ravena of the Ateneo Blue Eagles, and Jeron Teng and Arnold Van Opstal of the DLSU Green Archers. The UP Pep Squad, Philippine All-Stars, and Billy Crawford energized the crowd with their performances. Coleen Garcia, Epi Quizon, Nikki Gil, Elmo Magalona, JC De Vera and Gerald Anderson also walked the runway for popular homegrown brands. For Mensweek, 33 of the most sought-after local designers presented clothing for men, ranging from casual to formal to fashionably fun.
Scheduled to hit more Ayala Malls over the next couple of months, Style Origin — presented in partnership with The Philippine STAR and Star World, and sponsored by Shokubutsu Hana and Systema Tooth and Gum Care — promises more exciting fashion shows to inspire Filipinos of all ages to embrace a stylish lifestyle with the participation of local and international brands. Always entertaining, it gathers the brightest in the fashion world — designers, stylists, fashion editors, models and celebrities — to create an engaging presentation of what’s trendy and cool, and how you can wear them. — CHONX TIBAJIA
