A pleasant Manila
MANILA, Philippines - Import Scandinavian weather? We wish we could, we really do. We haven't quite figured that out yet, but in the meantime, we'll settle for copping the Scandinavian aesthetic. Say hello to Pleasant Manila.
A collaboration between local photographer Cholo dela Vega and The Artisan's Kix Suarez, together with Pleasant's Marc Berliner and Rasmus Boesen, Pleasant Manila is an online platform that seeks to serve up more than just the latest clothing from Pleasant (that, surprisingly enough, seems more suited to our own sunny tropical climate — what, with the bright colors and light cotton fabrics). Everything from sweet Scandinavian treats to art will be available at the click of a mouse on their online store, pleasant.ph.
The Pleasant launch party was held last Saturday at the Felipe and Sons barbershop, showcasing their summer collection of cotton button-downs, bright statement T-shirts and exclusive hats from partner brand Soulland.
