Another sly sideline from a distinctive label, Kitsuné Tee rallies renegade artists to collaborate on everything from baseball tees to windbreakers. Established by a trio of Acne alums, Swedish brand Eytys is behind the “perfect sneaker,†minimalist with a platform sole that elevates the unisex pair from the rest. To equip the modern misfit, UK-based online shop Men’s Society supplies an assortment of clever accessories. Expect smart dopp kits, debonair soap dishes with iconic imprints, and engraved hipflasks that quip “To My Health†when you’re swigging that hooch.
The Hoodwink retail space feels more like a rec room where smart slackers and fun-loving criminals can kick back. Hijinks are announced by backwards storefront signage and walls coated with a jaunty shade of yellow. Crafty details like cue sticks for door handles and sunken darts for clothing hooks throw the store’s playful vibe a punch line. Storefront window design will be a seasonal collaboration with deviant artists such as RM de Leon, who will inaugurate the space with a graphic assault passersby will find hard to ignore. Boat travel was also an influence in design, evident in a layout that resembles a ship’s deck.
