New takes on sportswear hit the runway

MANILA, Philippines - A sportier selection of brands took to the stage as Ayala Malls’ Style Origin recommenced at the Bonifacio High Street amphitheater over the weekend. Staying true to this year’s theme of “inspiring imagination,” Style Origin gave its audience yet another sneak peak into the summer’s latest fashion trends and must-haves — starting things off with an unexpected bang.

The show kicked off with a stunt exhibition performed by local skateboarders and bikers, setting the tone for what was a dynamic and spirited fashion show from start to finish. Speedo, Asics, Onitsuka Tiger, Sperry, Penguin, Cotton On, Gap, Banana Republic, Mango, Nine West, Calvin Klein Jeans, DKNY, Diesel and Springfield were among the 32 brands that walked the runway, each one presenting looks that struck the perfect balance between chic and athletic.

Dogs of different breeds, all dolled-up and accompanied by the equally stylish models of Baby Moon Lifestyle, pawed their way down the runway sporting everything from hats, dresses, tutus and bows.
