Happy for the Year of the Snake

MANILA, Philippines - It’s Year eight for the Annual Chinese New Year Competition of The Philippine Star and Swatch. This Year of the Snake, it is entitled “Let’s twist, curl and Swatch it!”

Happy Andrada, a Filipino fashion designer who took up fashion courses in London and the grand prize winner of the 2011 Swatch My Rabbit Story Chinese New Year Competition, made a snake scarf for this year. With the Swatch New Gent “The Legend of White Snake” as inspiration, Happy used six kinds of snakeskin print fabrics and merged them together. For the snake’s head, she used green and brown cut beads with clear and red crystals for the eyes.
