When the bride goes boho

- Bea J. Ledesma - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Margherita Missoni’s recent nuptials — in all its insouciant glory — intimated a sense of bohemian elegance. Garbed in a floaty beaded dress and silver sandals, tendrils springing from the loosely woven plait wrapped around her crown, she was an earthy, slightly unkempt vision. All natural beauty and bare skin. None of those stuffy conventions found in traditional weddings.

Her bridesmaids, attired in charming crop tops and floor-sweeping skirts, were the biggest surprise. Bridesmaids in dresses that didn’t look ugly. Look, Ma, it’s possible.

In our own ode to Young Missoni, YStyle tapped Vania Romoff for her take on the bohemian bride. Her take? A crocheted cotton frock that bares the waist. “I can see it in an outdoor wedding,” she tells us, “maybe a field or garden, much like Margherita’s wedding.”
