Sand in her feet

MANILA, Philippines - Amanda Lapus is a Brazilian-born Filipino artist and a certified lover of the ocean. Particularly fond of creating murals, she has collaborated with different artists on large, commissioned artworks such as the Regional Pilot School for the Arts in Angono, Rizal for the PLDT-Smart Foundation and for an advocacy campaign called Dolphins Love Freedom, murals meant to raise awareness of the exploitation of dolphins worldwide. A Communication Arts graduate with honors from Ateneo de Manila, she has studied graphic design, etching, and has interned at Salcedo Auctions. Her first group exhibit called Even More Instant Doodles was held last month. Her logo for YStyle pays tribute to the hot air balloon festival this month.
