Eastern inspiration
MANILA, Philippines - Siya, in Hindu, refers to an ancient Indian goddess, quite apt for Siya Daryani, a designer focused on garments so ornate they’re fit for a divine deity.
Siya attended a four-year fashion course in NIFT Gandhinagar. Along the way, she bagged a designer of the year award and garnered a reputation as a talented, in-demand stylist.
For the holidays, she makes use of an Indian beading technique called ari work and melds this with western colors, styles and cuts.
