Senior designers' perspective on reworked traditional garb

- SGM -

MANILA, Philippines - In keeping with the evening’s theme, members of the FDCP also presented runway looks made from local fabrics. Reworking traditional Filipino wear and silhouettes, the designers have created new signature Manila Wear pieces  a shirt cut like a barong and worn with a scarf, a T-shirt with doily-like front panels, a multi-colored blazer with butterfly sleeves and a cinched waist  that can be easily worn with jeans, such as the latest cuts and washes from retail brand Bench.
