Mega Fashion Crew on the catwalk
MANILA, Philippines - The remaining challengers take it out on the runway in Episode 7 of Gen M Season 2: Mega Fashion Crew tomorrow.
For this week’s challenge, the contestants become part of a fashion show, sponsored by SM Ladies Fashion, and directed by no less than top fashion show director Robby Carmona. “The runway will be your playground. This will be the fashion show that will decide if you are really worthy to be part of Mega’s Top Fashion Crew,” said Mega Publishing Group executive creative director Suki Salvador to the contestants.
It may have just as well sealed their fate. The show taught contenders how tough it is to stage a fashion show in terms of makeup, fashion and hair styling, modeling, and photography. Interestingly, this runway challenge is just a prelude to two more challenges.
The panel: Show director Robby Carmona, top model Raya Mananquil, Mega editrix Sari Yap, designer Avel Bacudio and SM's Pia Abad judge the catwalk challenge in the seventh episode of Gen M Season 2: Mega Fashion Crew. Aside from Carmona, Pia Abad, SM Department Store’s head of ladies fashion merchandising joined resident judges Mega editor Sari Yap, top fashion model Raya Mananquil, and top fashion designer Avel Bacudio in choosing the 25 challengers who will go on in the search for the Mega Fashion Crew. Jocas De Leon, brand manager for SM Ladies Wear, also sat in as a guest mentor, together with Maybelline’s Archie Tolentino, L’Oreal Paris Philippines’ Borge Aloba, Mega deputy editor Meryll Yan, and Salvador.
