MANILA, Philippines - To honor the well-dressed girls, gays and straight dudes of the evening, Samsung’s Odette Velarde and Mark Go awarded Bianca Valerio and Cliff Ho — both TV regulars — with a Samsung Galaxy Tab, that slick, sweet tablet that had everyone drooling. It’s functional and stylish.

How did you choose your ensemble for Femme Noir?
I was inspired by two things: The mystery behind the film’s trailer and the movie, Black Swan!
What made it perfect for the Femme Noir event?
I haven’t been out in so long as I’m usually part of or hosting events. As a guest, I wanted to enjoy the evening by getting dolled up! Guess it paid off!
Where do you often shop?
I love shopping at bazaars like St. James every Christmas, online and the ever-exciting ukay-ukay!
What are the labels that speak to you?
As much as I appreciate designer labels, I’ve always lived by the style mantra that “You needn’t spend much to look and feel great.”

Versace, Victor & Rolf, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana.
Style icons?
I love Cate Blanchett, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry and Dita Von Teese.
What in your opinion makes a stylish woman?
Attitude, confidence and a sincere smile are the best no-fail accessories to any ensemble!
Who inspires you?
As corny as it sounds, Ellen Degeneres. She always dresses well for her TV show but rather than being a fashionable host who helps people, she’s a funny, generous host who happens to be fashionable.
How does the Samsung Galaxy Tab fit your wardrobe?
I love to draw inspiration from the Internet, especially for makeup! It not only helps with my wardrobe but my life! From making presentations for my workshops/seminars or researching online for my articles, updating my website or Twitter (@Bianca_Valerio), the Galaxy Tab is sweet because, best of all, it’s a phone!
