Romancing the Russian

MANILA, Philippines - The Via Uno Russian Gardens collection gained inspiration from various sources giving the shoe brand a more contemporary style. It’s a mix of styles — from ethnic fashion, going through romanticism, minimalism and also bringing the modern air of rock and roll.

Going through the collection, glimpses of Russian, gypsy and Byzantine cultures can be seen in peep-toes, pumps, heavy and country boots that appear in earth tones, embroideries, fur and animal prints. Operatic airs are then showcased in pleated satins and printed velvet in pumps and boots that are adorned with bows and buckles. Minimalist-inspired aviator boots and ballet flats in their slightly casual and uniform style are balanced with rock-and-roll-influenced pumps and boots done in black, metal and the union of pearls.
