Face Hunting

When street style blogger Yvan Rodic of the famed Face Hunter blog dropped by Manila last month for his book signing, it seemed that everyone at his supposed after-party at Kyss bar was up and ready for their close-up. What with the flurry of body-con dresses, jacket-and-distressed-shorts combo, glittery tops and sky-high heels, it felt like his images had come to life — in the way Manila’s night owls know how. From the funky to the safe to the out of this world, everyone came decked in their sartorial best, equally at par with the folks featured in the popular site. Just goes to show that Manila can compete in the best-dressed wars when the occasion (and purpose) calls for it. About bloody time, too.
