Blued turns up the cool for school
MANILA, Philippines - Local prep purveyor Blued invades the college scene yet again as it launches the Blued Project — the search for the freshest batch of aspiring stylepreneurs. The brand’s affinity for college students is rooted in its humble start in 1991 as a marketing undergraduate thesis in Ateneo de Manila University. Since then, it has established itself as the go-to brand of the coolest college crowd with its casual and classic styles. Now, Blued gives a team of collegians a chance to learn the ins and outs of fashion retailing through a coveted immersion. The competition requires participants to formulate a fashion design and marketing campaign for the brand. From each school, a team campaign will be chosen to compete for the chance to bag the fashion and business immersion.
Blued also introduced its newest set of brand ambassadors: pep squad members Pio Opinaldo, Frances Fleta and Patrick Asuncion from the University of the Philippines; student designers Nina Peña, Anna Parungan, Lynette Cruz, Esther Shin, graphic designer Lily Cua, track and field and basketball varsity member Oscar Pasia, and film major Joshen Valiente from DLSU - College of St. Benilde; Blue Babble Batallion member Papz Javier from Ateneo de Manila University; and pre-med student Miguel Marasigan from the University of Santo Tomas. Together with Star Magic beauties Bianca Casado and Linn Oeymo, the Blued ambassadors showcased a collection of classic polo shirts and striped hoodies paired with dark-washed denims. The classic cuts of the collection aimed to bring back the carefree lifestyle of our college years.
